CLUBS INTERESTED

Newcastle United’s Yohan Cabaye has been a star performer for his club ever since arriving from Lille 3 seasons ago and thanks to the consistent performances he has made for Newcastle in the Premier League, he is now sparking the interest of other clubs who want to add him into their squad.

Last summer Arsenal tried to snatch the services of the French midfielder but the offers were rejected by Newcastle as they wanted to keep hold of their star player for as long as possible but recent statements from Cabaye might be suggesting that this is one of his last seasons with Newcastle United.

Cabaye said, “I miss the Champions League. I’ll finish this season with Newcastle and concentrate on the coming months and then we’ll see.” The last time Cabaye got a chance to play in the Champions was in the 2006-07 season and stated that he wants to battle it off against the best players and best teams in the world which is something that seems far-fetched for Newcastle United to accomplish anytime soon.

Yohan Cabaye has played a big role in the impressive start of the season that Newcastle has been going through as the Premier League made a good choice in rejecting Arsenal’s offers some time ago but now that the player wants to accomplish something more in his career it will be a hard task for the team of Alan Pardew to retain him any longer.

The 27 years old player of Newcastle United also went on saying that he believes Ribery deserves the FIFA d’Or award ahead of the likes of Lionel Messi and C.Ronaldo who are the front runners on winning the silverware.

He said, “I want to support Ribery win. He has done everything to have it, he deserves it. He carries Bayern Munich and Les Bleus.”
