West Ham United are currently drowning in the bottom spots of the Premier League with 11 points secured from their 12 opening matches of the season and now recent reports have been linking Rafael Benitez with the managerial position at West Ham United as pressure continues to build on Slaven Bilic.
Slaven Bilic is a Croatian manager who during his debut season in charge of West Ham United, he managed to defy all the odds and make history with the English club as he guided them to the 7th spot, this occurred during the 2015-16 season. This was a historic season for Slaven Bilic and his squad as they reached the highest number of points secured in their history for any season spent in the Premier League with 62 points, the highest amount of goals scored and a plethora of other club records were also broken.
Things have taken a turn for the worst for Slaven Bilic in this new season as they are just trying to stay above the relegation zone with a fairly underwhelming start of campaign and now Rafael Benitez is being rumored as a possible candidate that can take over West Ham United in case of the possible departure of Slaven Bilic from West Ham United.
It does appear to be unlikely that Rafael Benitez would be even interested in coaching West Ham United as the Spanish manager is doing an impressive job in Newcastle United as the club are positioned at the top of the English League Championship and are one of the favorites of being promoted to the top tier Premier League.
When Rafael Benitez signed his managerial contract with Newcastle United on March 11 of 2016, the Spanish coach was given total control over the club’s transfer business and he has built a healthy relationship with the supporters of Newcastle United, the board of directors of the club appear to have backed him up in every possible way and taking into consideration all of this, it simply would be realistic to believe that Rafael Benitez is interested in joining West Ham United or any other club anytime soon.
